
Alice M. Toth, 78, of Mansfield died early Wednesday morning, October 30, 2002 at her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Toth was born August 15, 1924 in Welch, West Virginia and was a Mansfield area resident since 1941. Until her retirement in 1980, she was employed as a bookkeeper with the Beatty Lung Clinic. Alice was a very active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bellville and enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was a life member of V.F.W. Post #9943 Auxiliary and Amvets Post #43 Auxiliary in Bellville.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Toth; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Curtis Conrad of Crestline, Randy and Vicki Conrad of Mansfield and Rob and Lisa Kurth of Georgia; two stepsons, Randy and his wife, Fran Toth and Greg Toth, all of Crestline; a daughter-in-law, Jan Buzzard of Willard, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Pruett of Centerburg, Ohio and Cecil Pruett of Sparta, Ohio; two sisters, Le Snider of Marysville, Ohio and Jessie VanAuker of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Lee and Maude Ellen Griffith Pruett; her first husband, Eugene E. Conrad; and stepson, Terry Toth.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Friday, November 1, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Saturday at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. Douglas Pretorius. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to North Central Ohio Hospice or St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Bellville.
