
Alvin Hardin, Sr., 74, died March 15, 2010 at Hospice of North Central Ohio of natural causes. Alvin was born December 4, 1935 in Haywood County, Brownsville, Tennessee to Walter and Lucille Nicholson Hardin. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and gardening. During his younger years he taught Sunday school for a Baptist Church in Brownsville, Tennessee. Alvin was known best for his generosity and dependability by family and friends. In 1972 he and his wife, Anna Pearl, moved from Tennessee to Mansfield where he was employed with and retired from Peabody-Barnes.
He is survived by his children, Annie Jean Hardin and John Williams, Malette Hardin, and Marvell Hardin, all of Mansfield; Lenora Ann Hardin of Columbus; Sandra Dabney, Terry Hardin, Sr., Roosevelt Hardin, Sr., and Alvin 'Earl' Hardin, Jr., all of Ft. Myers, Flordia; grandchildren, Markeith Hardin, Tiana Hardin, Dwight Hardin, Terry Hardin, Jr., Davon Dabney, Ciera Hardin, Makenzie Hardin, Eric Miller, and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lucille Hardin; his wife, Anna Pearl Fuller Hardin; two sisters; and four brothers. Special thanks to family and close friends, Sam and Donna Fuller, Johnnie Brown, and Gail Chapman.
A service conducted by Minister T. Willie Snipes will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield for relatives and close family friends only at the request of the Hardin family. An hour of calling will be held from 10-11 a.m. before the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery
