

Amelia A. Minard (Meechie) Ampy, 48, of South Bend, Indiana died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She was born November 9, 1963 in Millport, Alabama to Marshall Minard and the late Olene Minard.
She attended Mansfield Senior High School. Amelia was employed at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home for many years. She moved to South Bend, Indiana and later was married to Michael Ampy. Amelia enjoyed her birds, plants, flowers, music and outings with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Michael Ampy; two daughters, Ebony (Richard) Hadley and Erika Fuller of South Bend, IN; two sons, Robert Fuller, Jr. of Mansfield and Erik Fuller of South Bend, IN; six stepchildren, Crystal, Mike, Malik, Aasha, Amiya, and Erica Ampy, all of South Bend; four granddaughters, Zariya and Shá Mya Hadley of South Bend, Aliese Minard of NC and Amarie Minard of Mansfield; father and stepmother, Marshall and Gail Minard of Mansfield; brothers, Ronnie (Judy) Minard and Marshall Minard, Jr., both of Mansfield; sisters, Belinda (James) Gall of Canton, Wendy Crawford of Columbus and Teresa (William) Wellington of Mansfield; stepsister, Fran Jenkins; stepbrother, Frank (Shurry) Jenkins and Harold (Shannon) Jenkins, all of Mansfield; special friends, Kathy Likely of Mansfield and Jennifer Roane of Ft. Myers, FL; special aunts, Dorothy Peters, Sendia Mack and Patricia Reed, all of Mansfield; and a host of other relatives and friends. Amelia was preceded in death by her mother, Olene Minard and brother, Fredrick Minard.
Funeral services conducted by Dr. Thomas Hunt will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Providence Baptist Church. Friends and relatives may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. The family will receive guests at 192 Rowland Avenue.
