

Anna Mae Darling- Sziraki, 97, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home in Mansfield. She was born February 27, 1919 to Glenn and Verita (Heichel) Mowry in Mansfield, and lived in the area all of her life.
Anna was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ontario, and in her earlier years, had an active social life surrounded by her friends and family in Eastern Star, White Shrine and the Masonic Temple. Enjoying a game of Bonko with friends and family brought a lot of enjoyment and fellowship. She owned and operated Ann's Bridal Shoppe, where she loved to help brides look their best on their special day. She retired after over forty years serving our area, a business that began as a simple, family hat shop downtown Mansfield. She maintained her independence till as of recent, and for those that knew her well, this was a very important detail of life for Anna. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Anna is survived by her granddaughter, Kimberly (David) Lorenz of Mansfield; her great-grandchildren, Alexie and Collin Lorenz; and very special friends, Larry (Dora Grooms) Hagner of Mansfield.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Darling; and her second husband, Joseph Sziraki; and her beloved daughter, Patricia Darling Hagner.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Harbor Light Hospice and the nurses that cared so well for Anna.
A funeral service honoring the life of Anna will be observed on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at 2:00 PM, officiated by longtime friend, Rev. Ronald E. Daley, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 South Lexington-Springmill Road. A visitation will occur from 1:00-2:00 at the funeral home, prior to the services. Burial will follow the services in Mansfield Memorial Park. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in care of Harbor Light Hospice, 2312 Village Park Ct, Ontario, OH 44906.
