
Anna Bell Bolin Riffle, 88, of Ashland, passed away February 27, 2011, at Crystal Care Center of Ashland. Mrs. Riffle was born March 16, 1922, in Licking County, Ohio to Clarence and Florence Morehead Bolin, one of nine children. She married the late Eugene Riffle on March 16, 1941 and celebrated 61 years together.
Anna Bell is survived by her daughter Kathleen Dennis Daugherty of Ashland, and sons Doyle Sunny Riffle of Ashland and David Riffle and Corrine Collins of Ft. Myers, Florida; grandchildren, Robbie and Heidi Obrecht, Ryan Obrecht, Melodie Koprivec, Shannon and Erick Cioffi and Tara and Tom Ziegler; great grandchildren, Zachary Obrecht, Morgan, Joelle and Kyle Cross and Analea and Teagan Cioffi. She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Knowles, Sandra Jim Kauffman and Clarence "Joe" Betty Bolin; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Anna Bell was preceded in death by siblings Bud Bolin, Thelma Albery, Dick Bolin, Ella Mae Smith and Louise Lucas.
Anna Bell graduated from Ashland High School in 1940 and was retired from many years of service with Faultless/Abbott. She held a Florida Real Estate license, loved to cook and volunteer. Anna was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and in early life taught several Sunday School classes. Anna Bell also was a member of the Anniversary Club and former member of the Ft. Myers Beach Women's Club. She and her husband spent many memorable winters in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida.
Friends may call from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Norm Johnson. Burial will follow in Ashland County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home.
