
Anne Louise Sharp Strong, 76, of Bellville, died Saturday afternoon, February 28, 2004, at her home after a one-year battle with cancer. She was born January 10, 1928, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, to Harry and Jennie Beck Sharp. Anne graduated from Fredericktown High School and was formerly employed as a nursing assistant for 10 years with Hillcrest Nursing Home. She attended the Fredericktown Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John T. Tom Strong, Sr. whom she married July 14, 1946 in Fredericktown; children, John T. Strong, Jr., Ronald Strong, Connie Strong-daughter-in-law, all of Bellville, Phyllis William Westenbarger of Virginia, Larry Marilyn Strong, Terry Loduska Strong, all of Fredericktown, Nancy Ron Oldfield of Lexington and Mary Beth Willard Dickerson of Walhonding; forty-four grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Sharp of Oklahoma; and sisters-in-law, Joanne Strong of Florida, Joanne Strong and Joanne Sharp, both of Fredericktown, Esther Strong of Willard, and Ethel Kingdom of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Jennie Sharp; son, Danny Lee Strong; great-grandchildren, Marice Paige Burwell and Chad Smithhisler; sister, Mabel Cline; brothers, Raymond Sharp, Charles Sharp, John Sharp, Stanley Sharp and Edward Sharp; sister-in-law, Lula Belle Smith; and brothers-in-law, William, Ora, Gerald, George and Charles Strong.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Tuesday, March 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the service to be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Rev. Dennis Turner and Rev. F.H. Bolerjack. Burial will follow in Fredericktown Cemetery.
