
Audrey Lorraine Rush, 88, of Mansfield, died early Saturday morning, October 23, 2004 at Lexington Court Care Center. She was born October 14, 1916, in Canton, to Hubert Sydney and Adeline Bohn Williams. Audrey graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1934. She was a homemaker since 1947, previously working at Westinghouse Corporation during WWII. Audrey was a charter member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, where she was active in various church groups and was a representative to Church Women United. She was also past Treasurer of Cloverleaf Homemaker's Club, Sewing Circle at church, Wednesday morning Bible Study, and was previously in charge of the cradle roll to welcome new babies at church.
Survivors include two daughters, Twyla Rush of Springfield, Tennessee and Sherry Rush of Mansfield; a grandson, Jimmy Rush of Springfield; and a brother, Edwin Williams of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas G. Rush, whom she married October 4, 1947, and sister-in-law, Evelyn Williams.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, conducted by Rev. Bonnie Peltomaa. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Jeromesville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of North Central Ohio.
