Barbara "Barbie" Watts

Barbara L. Watts, 67, of Mansfield, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at OhioHealth MedCentral Hospital. Born October 9, 1947 in Mansfield she was the daughter of Arthur F. and Lillian (Cornell) Murray.

She was a 1966 graduate of Malabar High School and retired from Therm-O-Disc after 45 years of service. She was a very caring person who would give her time to anyone and was a member of Caesarea Baptist Church. She loved sewing and doing crafts of all kinds with cross stitching being her favorite, winning many awards in Ohio for her designs. She also was an avid baker, having been an award winning Ohio Baker at The Ohio State Fair. She also loved to bake cookies and make big trays of them to give to loved ones and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Robert Watts; an adopted son, Dakota Loretta of Mansfield; her four legged family ~ two cocker spaniels, Daisy Mae and Cinnamon Jewel, a puggle, Gabby Jo and a shiapoo, Peggy Sue; a sister, Penny (B.A.) Hill of Lucas; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; friends at Bob Evans on Trimble Road and Golden Corral in Ontario; and two favorite cousins, Patricia Finney and Debbie Rudd both of South Charleston, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Russell and Elsie (Hawks) Watts.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at Ceasarea Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Mike Workman. Burial will follow in Vermillion Cemetery, Hayesville.
