

Barbara A. Mau, 65, of Mansfield, died July 9, 2015. Born April 7, 1950 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of John and Margaret (Ruhl) Butler. Barbara was a 1968 graduate of Madison High School and went on to pursue many years of college, studying in various fields. An outgoing lady with a dry sense of humor, Barbara loved buying funny cards for her friends and family. She enjoyed a good game of euchre, going to casinos, and spending time with her friends and family. Barbara worked as a legal secretary for Weldon, Huston, and Keyser in Mansfield, prepared taxes for AARP and at the Willard H&R Block, and worked with Choice Realty. A former co-owner of Fork and Fingers restaurant in Mansfield, Barbara kept the family business until 1999, when it was sold to other family members. She was a member of the Sons of Herman.
Surviving are her step-daughter, Cindy (Mick) Stewart of Mansfield; step-son, Mark Mau of Florida; foster son, Adrian (Lupe) Gaytan of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jessica Stewart, Mark Whited, Adrian Gaytan, and Ivan Gaytan; great-grandchildren, Shelbee, Garrett, and Ava; sister, Evelyn (Butler) Rodby of Florida; niece, Susan of Colorado; nephew, Murray of Arkansas; very good friends, that are just like family, Jeff and Sherry Stroup of Mansfield; numerous other dear relatives; and precious doggies, Jeb and Jody.
Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. "Dick" Mau, who died in 2012.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
