Barb was a devoted homemaker who treasured her family and found great joy in caring for those she loved. She also worked part-time as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where her caring and compassionate nature touched the lives of others. Her faith was an important part of her life as she attended Evangelical United Methodist Church and valued the fellowship and friendships she found there.
Barb had a special love for the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening and lovingly caring for her flowers, taking pride in watching them grow and bloom. She also had a lifelong passion for horses. She loved riding and raising horses, and the time she spent with them brought her great happiness. She will be remembered for her caring heart, her strong faith, and the simple joys she found in life. She leaves behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Barb leaves behind to cherish her memory her two daughters, Tammy (Jamie) Reed and Laura Warns; her brother, Tom (Sheryl) Baumberger; grandson, Nathan Reed and many cherished family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Warns; and her siblings, Lynn Jacobi and Terry (Helen) Baumberger.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Wappner Funeral Directors & Crematory-Mansfield, 98 S. Diamond Street at 12:00pm. Family and friends are welcome to visit one hour prior to the service from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
