

Barb was very independent lady. Her determination, and generosity will fondly be remembered. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, entertaining and hosting friends and family, and bargin shopping at Walmart. Afternoons spent watching Judge Judy and evenings with Jeopardy were favorite pasttimes. Barb would have eaten every one of her meals at her favorite restaurant, China Town if it would have been possible. Barb was a 1950 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. She worked twenty-five years at the Elms Tavern and also worked in her earlier years at Dominion Electric and TAPPAN.
Barb is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Greg) Perry of Perrysville; two sons, Michael (Beverly) Long of Lucas, and James (Bridget) Wigton of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Leslie, Michelle, Lauren, and Robert; four step grandchildren, LeeAnn, Jessie, Edward, and Betty Jean; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Jean Miller of Mansfield; step daughter-in-law, Kathy Adams of Mansfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives.
Barb was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Long; her second husband, Robert Wigton; brothers, Raymond, Richard, Norman, and William Hildebrand; and one sister, Anna Mae Stout.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St. Her funeral service will be held on August 24, 2016 at 10:00 am, also at the Diamond Street Home. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
