Belinda Kay (Williams) Smith was called home to her Lord on September 24, 2025, while resting peacefully in her home and surrounded by family. Belinda was born in Columbus, Ohio, on January 31, 1956. Belinda dedicated her life’s work to being a devoted, loving wife to Kenneth (“Kenny”) Smith of Mansfield, and doting mother to her son, Kenneth “BJ” Smith, also of Mansfield, who were truly her greatest gifts. Belinda continued to selflessly love anyone who entered her home and was always happy to spend time in the kitchen cooking for anyone who came over. She especially found the utmost joy in spending time with her granddaughter, Paige, to whom she was always eager to entertain and share a laugh through their special, quiet connection. Belinda’s legacy of selflessness, compassion, and sincerity will not be forgotten, and will continue to live on through the countless lives that she touched.
Belinda is survived by her husband, Kenneth Smith; son, Kenneth R Smith, and granddaughter, Paige; sisters, Vickie (Robert) Matteo and Missy Williams; niece, Candy Williams, and nephews Nukuma (Amanda) Williams and Brian Williams; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lola Williams; brothers, James Williams, Rickie Williams, and Joe Holmes; son, Rick “Ricky” Smith, and nephew, Lucas Williams.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Wappner Funeral Directors (Mansfield) at 98 S. Diamond St. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
