Benjamin M. Smith, age 20, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Sunday evening December 31, 2006. He was born April 9, 1986 in Mansfield, Ohio to Randall D. & Diana Gephart Smith. His family lovingly placed Benjamin with God. Benjamin was employed at Ariel Corporation of Mt. Vernon, a graduate from Madison Comprehensive High School in 2004, he enjoyed baseball, hunting, fishing and motorcycling. Surviving besides his parents, are a sister, Vanessa Smith of Mansfield; his paternal grandparents, Dwaine & Shirley Smith of Mansfield; his maternal grandparents, Rev. Myrl & Marilyn Gephart of Mansfield; two aunts, Laurie & her spouse Jerry Botdorf of Shelby, Kathy and her spouse Gregg Darling of Lexington; a number of great-aunts and uncles; and seven cousins, Whitney, Jhan, Bergen, Cameron, Lukas, Lane, and Adalee.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Light House Wesleyan Church, 15 N. Illinois Avenue, conducted by Rev. Robert Stanforth. Burial will be in Windsor Park Cemetery.
