Bessie 'Bess' Meadows, 90, of Mansfield, died Friday, August 17, 2007 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born July 24, 1917 in Greenup, Kentucky, she was the daughter of John E. and Elizabeth Dale Moore. She retired as a longtime Assistant Secretary at Mechanics Building and Loan. Bess attended Maranatha Bible Church. She will be remembered as a woman of strength and creativity who loved her family, God and her friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Dicus of Mayfield Heights; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Gail Sheehe. Preceding her in death were her husband, Cecil E. Meadows; three children, Raelyn, Raymond and William; son-in-law, Roger Dicus; and her parents.
Burial will be held at a later date in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
