Mom, You Was The best Mother anyone ever could have ask for. Since looseing you on Ocb. 4 2007 I have mossed you evey day, I will alway's miss you, but I know you are in Heaven and you had been wanting to go there for a long time. I am so glad that I got to hold you in my arm's there just before you went and that I could tell you that is was alright for you to go on to heaven with Jesus' that was one of the hardest thing's I ever did but I knew you needed to hear those word's from someone and I was the someone who had the compassion to be able to do thatt for you. I was the person you had trusted to be there and do that among other thing's. Think you so very much much for trusting me to do the thing's which you wanted to be done. I am so very glad that you put your trust in me. I know you are in a beautiful place with Jesus now and I know you are happy there.Mom I did everying I could do to obey all of your wish's while you were here with me, there were a few thing's I couldn't do, I didn't have time there at the end but I was working on trying to get thing's done the way you had told me so many time's you wanted done, but a few people were standing in my way and I just did not have time to get those thing's done. I had people fighting me there for the last couple of day's, but I had made plan's to see to it that your wish's were followed but you went before I could get anything arranged. Yes Mom I know that you know I tryed and that you understand how hard I tryed. I don't have anything to regret about the thing's I did because you told me over and over just how you wanted to be treated. I am sorry that other pepole didn't understand when I told them about your wish's. Mom I Loved you So Very Much and I wanted you kept as comfortable as possibly and I tryed to do that for you. It has been almost eight month's now since you went to heaven and I know it is beautiful there just as you knew it would be. I will do everything I can to meet you there someday. You were the most beautiful person both inside and out that I have ever known. You left a lot of good example's for me to try and live up to. I love you my wonderful Mom.

My Wonderful Mom. Mom in those last few week's of your life, When ever I would look in on you or do something for you, I would stand by your bed while you were sleeping and I would say this simple little child's prayer that seemed to me to be so right at the time. " Now I lay you down to sleep, I pray the Lord your soul to keep, and if you should die before you wake I pray the Lord your soul to take,". That last day Nov 4 2007 I knew that you died while you were asleep and I knew you had gone on to heaven. I made a promise to you a few day's before you died, when you told me about sheep run ridge and that it is the most beautiful place that you had ever seen, you ask me to build you a house there and I told you I would, well Mom i believe that God had given you a peek at heaven and you went on and you will build that beautiful home there and I promise that I will be there someday to live with you on Sheep Ridge Hill.
 I Love You Mom, If God would have let me have my pick of Mother's I would have picked you from all the other's.

My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences go out to the family of Ms. Flannery. She is at peace with God, & herself, now, and is embraced by the serenity of her afterlife. Know that this lady is very content and happy, & most of all, free of pain and worry. She looks down on her family with love and smiles as she sends hugs and kisses to get them through their days. Rhonda, know that my heart is with you.

My deepest condolences for the loss of your loved one.

I discovered this morning that my mother, Flora Oakley Butler, was the first cousin of Bethel Skaggs Flannery.  Bethel's mother, Julia Oakley Skaggs, and my mother's father, Benjamin Franklin Oakley, were brother and sister.

My mother had no idea she had a first cousin living in Mansfield until she read the newspaper this morning.  My mother would welcome contact with Bethel's family members.
