

Betty Marie DeBolt, 96, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Mansfield Place. Betty was born on August 2, 1921 in Wheeling, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (Bach) Hemmann.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Betty had a heart to serve others and spent much of her time volunteering at the hospital, OhioHealth Hospice, RSVP and Richland Chamber of Commerce. Betty was an active member of First United Methodist Church where she worked in the kitchen making candy, helping with public luncheons and she loved singing in the choir. She served as secretary and treasurer of the Epworth Guild, First United Methodist Women.
Betty leaves behind her husband of whom she married October 2, 1948 in Masontown, Pennsylvania, Eugene DeBolt; son, Mark (Rhonda) DeBolt of Mansfield; daughters, Wendie (Hank) Conrad of North Ridgeville, Ohio and Vicki DeBolt of Mansfield; grandchildren, Bryan (Holly) DeBolt, Jacquelyn (Joel) Smith, and Justin (Ashlee) DeBolt; great-grandchildren, Camden, Quinten, Griffin, and Jameson DeBolt, Kellen and Hailey Smith, and Isabell and Zoiya DeBolt; and a brother, Wilbur (Judy) Hemmann of Morgantown, WV. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Donald Hemmann.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 9:30-11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church, 12 North Diamond Street. Rev. Becky Weamer will officiate the memorial service following at 11:00 am. Betty was a very giving person and the family request memorial contributions be made to the church in lieu of flowers. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors in honored to serve the DeBolt family.
