Betty Kirby

Betty L. Kirby, 85, of Crestline, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Mifflin Care Center. Born April 14, 1925 in Middletown, she was the daughter of John Henry and Bethel Mae Ingram Wells. Betty's family was her life. She loved her grandchildren and was proud to have five generations of family. Betty enjoyed crafts, sewing, and needlepoint and always had pets.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Richard Bosworth of Crestline, and Melody and Jim Pratt of Mansfield; grandchildren, Wendy, Chris, Robin, Amy, and Jennifer; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and beloved sister-in-law, Mary Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Kirby; brothers, Leonard, Donald, and Homer Wells; and sister, Marie Fread.

Friends may call fro 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Glenn Phillips. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
