
Betty was born July 27, 1938 in Grayson, Kentucky to Samuel and Ruth (Baker) Everman. After graduating from high school Betty moved to Columbus, Ohio where she worked for the Telephone Company. While in Columbus Betty met and married Jim Pierce and later moved to Bellville, Ohio.
One of Betty's proudest accomplishments was after starting a family she attended The Ohio State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. After graduation she started her career with the Mansfield Municipal Courts as an administrator, where she worked and retired after 25 years of service. Betty had a passion for reading, gardening, canning and loved to cook for her children and grandchildren, especially birthdays and holidays. She will be remembered by her love of family, laughter and humor.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Jim of 52 years. She is survived by Jim Pierce of Lexington; Rusty and Matt Pierce of Butler; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, RJ, Rachel, Austin, Jacob, Gabriel and Sophia; one great granddaughter, Autumn; and her sister, Ann Haight of Grayson, Kentucky.
At Betty's request there will be no public services. The family will be holding a Celebration of Betty's life at a later date.
