
Billie R. Carmichael, 72, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Friday morning, June 24, 2005 at her home. Born August 30, 1932 in Logan, West Virginia, she was the daughter of William C. and Ida Mae Cooper Wooten. She attended Adventist Christian Fellowship Church and also enjoyed playing games on the computer, playing Skip-Bo with her family, crocheting and cross stitching special gifts from the heart.
She is survived by two sons, Edwin E. Carmichael of Madison, WI and Ricky A. Carmichael & Marlene of Mansfield; three daughters, Connie S. Carmichael and Bonnie L. Carmichael & John Hriesik, both of Mansfield, and Raedean Carmichael & Bruce Whitaker of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren, Jim, Angie, Bricen, Tommy, Bobbi, Terry, Shannon, Peyton, Jenny, and Doug; seven great grandchildren, Hunter, Kassi, Brandon, Brooke, Shelli, Steven, Ariel and Ryan; three sisters, Faye Cantrell of Arlington, Texas, Mae & Lonnie Swango of Bristolville, and Gaye & Raye Garland of Leavettsburg; and one brother, John & Audrey Wooten of South Shore, Kentucky; special friends, Cheryl Starkloff, caretaker and goffer, Jan Walker. In addition to many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin L. Carmichael; companion, Hal Karp; one sister, Elizabeth Runyon and one great granddaughter Jessica.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday June 28, 2005 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
