Billy D. Sloan, 55, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at his home following an extended illness. Born March 5, 1955 in Crestline, he was the son of Wanda Thompson and James R. Sloan. He was formerly a self-employed home improvement specialist. Billy enjoyed spending his time restoring cars.
He is survived by three sons, Billy D. Melissa Sloan II, James C. Sloan and Charles A. Sloan, all of Mansfield; a daughter, Alyssa D. Sloan of Mansfield; two grandsons, Dominick Sloan and Aiden Elliott; two granddaughters, Jazmin and Ellise Sloan; a sister, Beverly Virgil Sloan-Cates of Mansfield; and two nephews, Alex Silvey of Mount Vernon and Pvt. Christopher Silvey serving in Iraq.
Private family services will be observed. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Mr. Sloan.
