
Bo Sjostedt, 81, of 145 Hilltop Road died Wednesday evening December 8, 1999 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Sjostedt was born May 8, 1918 in Uppsala, Sweden to Hugo and Rosa Sjostedt. He served in the Swedish Military. Mr. Sjostedt graduated from the Swedish Technical Institute in 1946, worked for L.M. Eriksson, in Stockholm and immigrated to Chicago, Illinois in 1949. In 1957 he moved to Mansfield, worked for United Telephone and retired from North Electric. Mr. Sjostedt was a social member of the Amvets #26.
Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-law, Klas Sjostedt, Rick and Cynthia Sjostedt all of Mansfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gisela and Bryan Bickimer of Canton, Michigan, Yvonne and Darren Watts of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Torsten Sjostedt and Eric Watts; one brother, Major Ake Sjostedt of Stockholm, Sweden; two sisters, Gunvor Sjostedt and Maj Lidman both of Stockholm, Sweden and several nieces and nephews in Sweden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ingrid Sjostedt in 1995 and his parents, Hugo and Rosa Sjostedt.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Saturday December 11, 1999 from 1-5 p.m. Graveside services will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park Monday December 13, 1999 at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Rev. Clifford D. Schutjer. Memorial contributions may be made to North Central Ohio Hospice.
