Bonnie Jane Bradley Harp, age 82, formally of Woodcrest Dr. and Winchester Terrace passed away August 29, 2010, at MedCentral Hospital. She was born August 17th, 1928 in Lawrence Co., Missouri, moving to Mansfield in the 1950's. She worked at the Highway Restaurant where she met her future husband Vernon Harp Jr.. They were married almost 50 years until his death in 2004. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was her family; sadly she lost her daughter, Brenda, in 1993. Her life was centered around her grandchildren, Amanda and Hunter, and four darling great granddaughters. Their visits brightened her life at Winchester Terrace. While living there she was affectionally called 'Bonnie Boo'. Bonnie liked simple pleasures such as sewing, gardening, ceramics, cooking, collecting teddy bears, and watching sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. She took delight in nature, feeding the birds and squirrels, mushroom hunting, and walking in the woods. Bonnie also attended Diamond Hills Baptist Church and had a deep faith in the lord.
Bonnie is survived by three grandchildren, Hunter Katie Davis, Amanda, and Tyler III Korie Merritt all of Mansfield; four great granddaughters, Emily, Brendolyn, Baily, and Brynleigh; her brother, Gary Wilma Bradley of Missouri; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lee Jean Harp of Mansfield; former son-in-law, Tyler Jr. Cheryl Merritt of Jeromesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents, Roscoe and Montzell Cameron Bradley; Husband, Vernon Harp Jr.; her daughter, Brenda Merritt; three brothers, Eldon, Herman, and Glenn; and three sisters, Iva, Katherine and Gwen.
Bonnie's family wishes to thank MedCentral 4th floor caregivers for their wonderful service, Winchester Terrace for their loving care, and Rev. Christopher Thomas and Dave Shatzer for their unending care and support.
