Bret was a fun loving and carefree person and he loved having a great time where ever he was. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter and nieces. Bret worked in management at various restaurants including Ponderosa, Olive Garden, Applebee's and Cheddar's. He also enjoyed playing pool, paint ball, bonfires and hanging out with his friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Alix Brett Shanks; his twin brother, Bart (Kathy) Shanks; his nieces, Blair, Devon and Danielle Shanks as well as other nieces and nephews; his best friend, Pat Harper; and his many friends in his home state of Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Shanks; and two sisters, Linda Huckaby and Lee Shanks.
There will be no services at this time. Wappner Cremation Center is honored to serve the family of Bret S. Shanks.
