Burdette Earl Shreffler Jr.

Burdette Earl Shreffler Jr., age 88. Born in Mansfield, the only child of Burdette Earl and Helen Marie (nee Zoller) Shreffler on June 18, 1935; died on January 6, 2024 at the age of 88, of natural causes. His Mother died when he was 18 months old. Burdette, known as “Bud or Doc” went to City Schools, graduated from Mansfield Senior High in 1950 and The Ohio State University in 1956. He enlisted in the US Army on August 10, 1958 and received an Honorable Discharge on July 31, 1964.

Bud was a Bank Examiner for the State of Ohio for many years. After retirement he did some Private Investigative work and enjoyed Hunting for buried Treasures around Ohio, as well as New Mexico.

Doc will be buried in his Family Plot in the Mansfield Cemetery, with Military Honors; in a Private Service with Friends, as he requested.
