
Carl F. Gordon, 66, of Mansfield, died Monday, October 16, 2006, at his home. Born May 31, 1940, he was the son of Carl William and Ann Gordon. He retired from Therm-O-Disc. Mr. Gordon attended Citi Church and was a very active community volunteer. He volunteered his time with area churches, homeless shelters and serving food at the Salvation Army every year. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army as a heavy equipment training engineer.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, William C. and Rebecca Gordon of Mansfield and Bryan Gordon of Buford, Georgia; five grandchildren, Jacob Gordon, Andrew Heuss, Alexis Heuss, Joseph Gordon, and Austie Gordon; a sister, Gloria Harry of Ashland; and a niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sherry Gordon.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, October 19 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Micah Pelkey officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Citi Church.
