
Carlyn E. Diehl Vivian, 70, of Mansfield, died Thursday afternoon, November 18, 2004, after a brief illness. She was born March 22, 1934, in Defiance, Ohio to Edwin S. and Edna L. Dannenberg Diehl. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 1956. Mrs. Vivian was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She also was a member of the Woman's Club, Nomad's Club, and Delta Zeta Sorority. She was also active with the Art Center and was a chaperone for the Miss Ohio Program for many years.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa V. and Keith A. Coleman of Mansfield; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dr. Stephan J. Vivian of Toledo and David R. and Lori L. Vivian of North Royalton; grandchildren, David R. Vivian II and Krystal R. Vivian, both of Portage, Ind., and Justin J. Gum of North Royalton; a sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Fred Windsor of Grand Rapids, Mich.; brother and sister-in-law, Lowell and Andrea Diehl of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dr. Joseph H. Vivian.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 21, at 3:30 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, officiated by Rector Emeritus David S. Sipes. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-3 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or the Mansfield Art Center.
