

Carolyn Daugherty of Ashland, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, October 3, 2015 in Mansfield. Born December 19, 1960 in Richland County, Ohio she was the daughter of Allan E. and Brenda (Ramshaw) Leedy.
She was a 1979 graduate of Madison High School, a 1983 graduate of Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Masters in Business. She attended Ashland University where she obtained her Teaching Certificate. She taught at Ashland Christian School, Ashland City Schools, and was an Adjunct Professor at North Central State College. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ashland, the American Legion Post 88 Ladies Auxiliary and was the advancement chair for the Boy Scouts Troop 586.
She is survived by her husband, Tim A. Daugherty; four sons, Bradley (Niki) Daugherty, Brock (Kendra) Daugherty, Matthew Daugherty and Michael Daugherty all of Ashland; a grandson, Ethan Daugherty; her mother, Brenda Leedy of Ashland; a brother, David Leedy of Mansfield; and cousins, Steve and Chris Ramshaw.
She was preceded in death by her father, Allan E. Leedy and her maternal grandparents, Stan and Ann Ramshaw.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland where a memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Bonnie Peltomaa. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or to the family for the educational fund of her sons.
