

Carolyn G. McDonald Shilling, 86, of Ashland, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Samaritan Regional Health Care System. Born December 31, 1928 in Ashland, she was the daughter of James A. and Mable (Watson) Mason.
She retired from Philway Products. She loved to golf, bowl and read and enjoyed tending to her flowers.
Surviving are her husband, Cloyd W. Shilling, Sr.; two daughters, Reny (Virgil) Kline and Debbie Snader of Ashland; four grandchildren, Hillary Kline (Andy Knight), Britt Kline, Kevin (Dianna) Snader and Kari Snader; a great grandson, Michael Snader; four step children, Cloyd W. (Debbie) Shilling, Jr. of Savannah, Mary Louis Shilling of Pennsylvania, Donald Shilling of West Virginia and Larry Shilling of Tennessee; two sisters, Mae (Mike) Piper of Michigan and Betty Owsley of Ashland; two brothers, John (Bessie) Mason of Florida and Daryle Mason of Ashland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold McDonald and a brother, Raymond Mason.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June, 12, 2015 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland conducted by Pastor Matthew Pond. Burial will follow in Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
