He served abroad in the US Army for 4 years. Charley retired from Crane Plumbing in 2001. He was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in 1993. He was an excellent Ball player who played short stop. Charley enjoyed fishing and was an avid OSU fan. He was a loving husband and father.
Charley is survived by his wife of 66 years, Darlene (Meyer) Cain; children, Steve (Amy) Cain and Linda (Danny) Morris; grandchildren, Ben Cain and Andy Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers.
Family and friends will gather for visitation at 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 30, 2025. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM Thursday following the visitation. Charley will be laid to rest at Mansfield Cemetery.
