

Charles Thomas "Tommy" Carroll Jr., 54, of Mansfield, passed away June 11, 2015, at Samaritan Regional Hospital in Ashland. Tommy went to greet Jesus and meet his daddy again. He was born July 25, 1960, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Charles Thomas Carroll, Sr. and Carole (Bridges) Carroll Roberts.
He attended Madison High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Tommy worked at a number of area restaurants and was at Arby's for the longest period of time. He enjoyed playing cards and dancing. Tommy thoroughly enjoyed attending Singles Dances until he was no longer physically able to go.
He is survived by his mother and step father, Carole and David Roberts; a sister, Tameria (Tom) Walker; step siblings, Cindy Harter, Thomas (Chris) Roberts, and Jerry (Brenda) Roberts; 1 niece, Buffie Walker; one nephew, Michael Walker; two great-nephews, Cody and Billy Walker; a great-niece, Abby Walker-Peay; a great-great niece, Laisyn Blake Walker; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. Pastor Tony Viscioni will conduct the service which follows at 2:00 p.m. Burial will proceed to Mansfield Memorial Park where military honors will be presented by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Samaritan Hospital and The Good Shepherd for the wonderful care given to Tommy.
