
Charles W. 'Chuck' Clinage, 77, died late Wednesday evening September 5, 2001 at home after a long illness. Mr. Clinage was born October 8, 1923 in Rome, Ohio to Ray and Helen Gantz Clinage living in Mansfield most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, and a member of Teamsters Local 40. Mr. Clinage had driven truck for B&P Motor Express for over 28 years. Chuck loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wandalee Mehl Clinage; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Susan Clinage of Mansfield; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Zediker; Cathy and Jerry Littleton of Mansfield; and Wendy and Allen Wells of Galion; seven grandchildren, Jason Littleton and his fiancé Renee Rogers; Eryn Littleton; Justin and Courtney Clinage; Shawn Wells; Stephanie and her spouse, Sherman Johnson; two great grandchildren, Dillon and McKenzie Johnson; and one sister and brother-in-law, Gene and Betty Cornell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; three sisters; and one son-in-law, William 'Billy' Zediker.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Friday September 7, 2001 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 8, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Roy Jaynes. Richland County Joint Veteran Burial Detail will conduct military graveside services in Windsor Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home to Mifflin Township Fire Department.
