Charles L. Norris, Sr., age 87, died Thursday, April 12, 2001 after an extended illness. Mr. Norris was born February 5, 1914 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH to the late Ben and Josephine Snepko Norris and has lived in the Mansfield area 41 years. He was a retired truck driver for Superior Meats and Teamsters Club. He was a past Commander of Amvets in Massillon, OH and a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Surviving are his wife, Betty McCracken Norris; a son, Charles L. Norris, Jr.; a daughter, Judy Bowie, all of Mansfield; four grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Yozzo on Ponco City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four sisters, Anna Hunter, Katherine Wood, Eleanor Dragomire, and Phyllis Nelson.
