

Charles S. Peak, age 68, went to be with the Lord early Friday morning, January 11, 2013 following an inspirational battle with cancer. He was born August 1, 1944 in Max Meadows, Virginia to the late Sam and Clarcie Viola (Scott) Peak.
He was employed for 48 years with Hartman-Tyco Electronics. He was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Goldie V. Peak; two sons, Charles S. (Lisa) Peak, Jr. and Kevin Peak (Lisa Carroll), all of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Alyssa Peak, Sarah Peak, Kaitlyn Carroll Peak and Brianna Carroll Peak; several brothers and sisters; and special friend and caregiver for many years, Josephine Jordan. The family wishes to express special thanks to his sister, Shirley Peak and her daughter.
Friends and family may visit from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio or a charity of the donor’s choice.
