Charles Ritter

Charles E. Ritter, 83, of  Ontario, Ohio, died Monday, March 27, 2000 at Knox Community Hospital after an extended illness.  Mr. Ritter was born March 10, 1917 in Richland County and has been a Mansfield resident most of his life.  He retired from Westinghouse after 38 years where he worked as a foreman.  He was a member of Richland Church of the Brethren and Sons of the Herman. Surviving are his wife, Lucille M. Cline Ritter of  Mansfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles R. & Norma Ritter of Mansfield; two daughters, Rosemary Swihart of Mansfield and Christine Walker of Bellville; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Delano McFarland of Mansfield and two brothers, Willard Ritter of Mansfield and Walter Ritter of  Florida. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. service on Thursday, March 30, 2000 conducted by Rev. Paul Martin.  Burial will be at Mansfield Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Richland Church of the Brethren located at 786 Linn Rd., Mansfield, OH 44903.
