
Charles A. Wisenbarger, age 84, of Mansfield, died Tuesday evening October 21, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Mr. Wisenbarger was born March 5, 1919 in Clayesville, Ohio living in the Mansfield area all of his life. He was a former employee at Humphrey's, Westinghouse and Shelby Spring & Hinge. Mr. Wisenbarger was a member of American Legion, VFW, Amvets and was also an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy & Reford Jordan of Willard, and Eva Wisenbarger of Tallahassee, Florida; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Charles Jr. & Margaret Wisenbarger of Mansfield; Clarence R. Wisenbarger of Norwalk, Ohio; Robert & Paula Wisenbarger of Peabody, Massachusetts; a step-daughter, Patty Combs of Mansfield; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Wisenbarger; three sisters, Thelma Ousley, Goldie Steele and Mary Jane Wymer; three step-brothers, John, Bill & Jim Peterson. His was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Cross Wisenbarger; his parents, Charles & Nancy Abrams Wisenbarger; a brother, Roy Wisenbarger; and a stepson, Ronny Rock.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday from 5-8p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Brian Phillips. Military graveside services will be held at Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandotte Freewill Baptist Church.
