

Ivan retired from Empire Steel Mill after many years of dedicated service. A man of deep faith, he was a founding member of the Apostolic Faith Assembly and remained devoted to the Lord throughout his life. He had a great love for traditional gospel and bluegrass music and was a talented musician who played both the banjo and guitar and loved to sing.
Known for his knack for fixing things, Ivan was always tinkering around the house. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and found joy in hobbies such as hunting and fishing.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Those he leaves behind are his children, Angela (Jason) Sinclair and Kerry (Priscilla) Gearheart; his grandchildren, Michael (Renee) Gearheart, Ryan Reeves, Jeremy (Megan) Gearheart, Melissa (Joseph) Potter, Sarah (Joshua) Wombold, Heather (Dustin) Barber, Andy (Tara) Sparks, Destiny (Nick Williams) Workman, and Taylor (Chris) Cain; his great-grandchildren, Levi Kibler, Kylee Gearheart, Naomi Gearheart, Julia Burley, Bink Sparks, Tyler Farley, William Drugan, Noah, Bentley, and Levi Williams, Cooper and Mateo Cain, Mason, Maddox, and Makenna Gearheart, Josiah and Teyton Potter, and Trae and Tyler Wombold; daughter-in-law, Sharon Gearheart; nephew, Kenny Binion; and many beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Raudabaugh) Gearheart; son, Randy Gearheart; his siblings. Golden, Corbin, and Arvil Gearheart, Helen Binion, and Mary Hurt; his step-mother, Biddie Gearheart; and half-brother, Charles Caudill.
Family and friends may visit from 10:00-11:00 am on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Faith Assembly, 258 Stadium Street. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert O’Brian officiating. Ivan will be laid to rest in Lantz Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Assembly in honor of Ivan. Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield is honored to serve the Gearheart family.
