

Christine M. O’Leary, 75, of Mansfield, died Saturday, August 25, 2012 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born October 25, 1936 in Galion, she was the daughter of Jack L. and Mary (Dolce) Kelly. She was a 1954 graduate of Galion High School and received an associate’s degree from North Central Technical College in drafting and engineering. Christine was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church as well as the Catholic Women’s Club and RCIA team at the church. She also belonged to AL-ANON. Christine worked for United Telephone in Ohio, but retired from Ericsson in Texas in 2001. She enjoyed watching sporting events played by the Browns, Cavs, Indians, Buckeyes, and Notre Dame. Christine was very hospitable and had a great sense of humor. She was always a good friend and mom to everyone, visiting and helping people in need. Most of all, her family was her life.
She is survived by her children, Michelle (David) Carsey of Mansfield, Colleen O’Leary of Westerville, Sean O’Leary (Aileen Connors) of Sagamore Hills, and Kathleen O’Leary of Mansfield; former daughter-in-law and good friend, Cindy O’Leary of Garfield Heights; grandchildren, Emily (Tyler) Hager, Nicole (Ryan) Carr, and Gabrielle Carsey, all of Mansfield, and Christopher O’Leary of Garfield Heights; great granddaughter, Kaelyn Carr of Mansfield; brother, Richard (Elinor) Kelly of Shelby; brother-in-law, Tom Miller of Mansfield; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews she loved dearly. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and forever friend, William O’Leary.
Friends may call Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 104 W. 1st St., Mansfield, conducted by Father Tom McQuillen. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Catholic Church General Fund.
