

Clair Ellen (Mumaw) Johnson, 53, of Mansfield, passed away suddenly Saturday evening, February 25, 2012 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born March 5, 1958 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Virgil P. and Vivian G. (Devin) Mumaw.
A blessing to everyone around her, affectionately known as “Smerfy”, Clair leaves behind her beloved husband and soulmate, Milton Lee Johnson; three daughters, Sandra Ann McGregor, Sarah Ellen Byles and Bobbi Jean Williamson; eight grandchildren, Nicolas, Nathan, Xavier, Reina, Brian, Jonathan, Sidney and Courtney; her mother, Vivian Nemeth of Mansfield; a sister, Jennifer Miner of Franklin, NC and many other close friends and family. She was preceded in death by her father; two sisters, Sidney Pierce and Elizabeth McGinty; and two brothers, Larry and Michael Mumaw.
Mrs. Clair Johnson loved many things about life including creating crafts, spending precious time with Milton and Bobbi and taking care of animals, especially her doggies and kitties. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Richland County Humane Society.
