Clara Hassig

Clara 'Nan' Pfister Hassig, 86, of 4811 Norway, Waterford, Michigan died Thursday, March 29, 2001 in Pontiac, Michigan after an extended illness. Mrs. Hassig was born July 14, 1914 in Francesville, Indiana. She was actively involved with family, friends, and church.

Clara, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother left her temporary home here on earth to live eternally with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Rogers & Mark Brown of Pontiac, Michigan, Carol Susan Randall and her husband, Ronald of Mansfield, and Nancy Hassig & Chuck Welty of Redwood City, California; three grandchildren, Jenny Nelson and her husband, Kirk of Michigan, Rod Randall & Renee Rutherford of Columbus, Ohio and Rick Randall and his wife, Debra of Pickerington, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Bethany and Charity Nelson and Connor and Cade Randall; a twin brother, Clarence 'Bud' Pfister; a sister, Emma DeLong; and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Elizabeth Rentsch Pfister; her husband, Henry 'Ted' Hassig; five brothers, Henry, Emil, William, Levi, and Albert Pfister; and six sisters, Frieda Messner, Martha Gilbert, Lydia Stacy, Ida Carter, Eunice Tucker, and Esther Friend.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one and one half hours prior to funeral services to be held at the funeral home Monday, April 2, at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Jerry Funston. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Youth For Christ. Online guest registry at www.wappner.com.
