
He is survived by his precious wife of 53 years, Evelyn Haring; children Marie Ronald Baumann, Carol David Kapusinski and Bonnie Betz; grandchildren, Emily and Hannah Baumann, and Ashleigh Betz; step-grandchildren, Sonya Christopher Spillmann, Shaun Mariana Kapusinski, and Tasha Michael Humphrey; five step great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Geraldine Betz; sisters, Alice Ebinger, Esther Vogel, Joann Edward Boliantz, Viola Michael Bartolf, Linda Peter Webel; sister-in-law, Margaret Betz; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, James Ferrara.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Albert Betz and in-laws, Irene Betz, Lydia Betz, Edwin Vogel and John Ebinger.
Clifford loved his Lord, Jesus Christ, his family and his church. His life goals and accomplishments reflected those passions.
He was a life long member of the Apostolic Christian Church on Middle-Bellville Road in Mansfield, where he served as a Sunday School teacher for 20 years, participated as a narrator for the Christian Friendship Hour radio program on WMAN. He loved singing and participated in the church choir for over 50 years. Cliff was an original member of the Christian Choristers.
He was a loving, caring husband and father, adored by his family and respected by all.
He had a reputation in the community as a quality builder of custom homes. Cliff built a number of the units of the Apostolic Home on Logan Rd in Mansfield, where he and his wife resided the past 10 years. He also provided volunteer labor in building or remodeling Apostolic Churches in various places in the eastern United States as well as for Habitat for Humanity.
After retiring, he enjoyed volunteer work at Med Central Hospital.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Apostolic Christian Church, 1332 Middle-Bellville Rd., Mansfield. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
