

Born February 1, 1929 in Fremont, Ohio he was the son of Curtis B. and Naomi B. (Hink) Glenn. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served during the Korean War. Dick was a plumber/pipe fitter for Local 42 out of Norwalk and had a true passion for his work and was able to travel all over while working. He attended First English Lutheran Church and was an avid sports fan following the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavs and all of The Ohio State sports teams.
He is survived by a son, Jeffrey M. Glenn of Mansfield; a daughter, Susan (Randall) Lents of Germantown, Ohio; grandchildren, Ashley (Ryan) Pore of Portland, OR, Michelle Martin of Germantown, OH, Griffin Glenn and his fiancé, Kara Douglas of Columbus, OH and Matthew Lents of Germantown, OH; a great grandson, Luca Pore; a brother, Russell (Pat) Glenn of Grand Prairie, TX; a sister, Mary L. Glenn of Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dick was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at the funeral home conducted by Rev. George Reece. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
