Daniel Gerard Hohman of Ashland passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on August 11, 2022 at the age of 56. He was surrounded by his family at his home. Dan was born on March 22, 1966 to Terry and Paul Hohman in Cleveland, Ohio and spent his early years in Lakewood, Ohio. Dan graduated from Nordonia High School in 1984 and then proudly served in the US Army until his honorable discharge from the service in 1988. Dan graduated from Baldwin Wallace in 1994 and began working in the automotive industry for multiple companies including Ziebart, Bridgestone, and Dealer Tire.
Dan married the love of his life, Dr. Jennifer Thomas, in 2014 and they moved to their current residence in Ashland in 2015. Dan loved the life that he and Jennifer created on their small farm that included their 3 beloved dogs and countless other animals. Enjoying rural life, Dan continued to pursue his passions that included shooting and hunting, and was an active member of the Ashland Lake Gun Club and Richland County Gun Collectors.
Dan was a private person who was fiercely loyal to his friends and family. You could always count on Dan for a big smile, warm handshake or hug, a smart comment, or a helping hand if you needed it. Dan had a unique perspective on life, a great sense of humor and a strong wit, and could be counted on to provide a bit of levity to any situation. He knew an endless number of facts and trivia about wildlife and the outdoors, which he loved to share.
Dan is survived by his wife Jennifer, his mother Terry Hohman, his father Paul Hohman, and two siblings, Mary (Terry) Kraft and Kevin (Beth) Hohman. His nieces and nephews, Patrick, Sara and Kristen Hohman, along with Erin and Brian Kraft will also miss their Uncle Dan.
