Darlene Phillips, 59, of Mansfield, died Wednesday morning, October 27, 2004, at Smithville Western Care Center. She was born January 8, 1945 in Dover, Ohio, to Earl W. and Pauline Miller Youngen, living most of her life in the Mansfield area. She attended Hillside Church of God and enjoyed reading, writing poetry, cooking, and baking.
She is survived by four sons, Roger Phillips, Jr. of Mansfield, Don and Jennifer Phillips of Crestline, Ben and Jodi Phillips of Mansfield and Brian Phillips of Shiloh; two grandchildren, Chevele and Skyla; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and David Harr of Creston, Ohio; and a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Patricia Youngen of Portsmouth, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Roger L. Phillips.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Sunday, October 31 from 1-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Rev. Glenn M. Phillips. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
