
David Chapman, Jr., 80, of Mansfield, died Saturday, June 12, 2004 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born February 16, 1924 in Big Flat, Arkansas to the late David and Iva Plummer Chapman living in the area most of his life. David served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He is survived by a sister, Dorothy Deaton of Michigan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Claude and Eva Chapman of Michigan and Carl and Joy Chapman of Mansfield; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Chapman of Mansfield and Gladys Chapman of Michigan; a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Loretta and Bob Prosser of Mansfield; two step-sons-in-law and step-daughters-in-law, Paul and Linda Gleisinger of Mansfield and Leonard and Phyllis Crider of Mansfield; and a step-daughter-in-law, Judy Crider of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; five brothers, Robert Lee, Vernon, Gerald, Virgil, and Fred Chapman, and a step-son, Jerry Crider.
Funeral services conducted by Pastor Michael G. Rogers, will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors at 1 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. There will be Military services held at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
