David Dickerson

David L. Dickerson, Sr., 86, of 6128 St. Rt. 97, Galion, Ohio died Monday, May 28, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield after a brief illness. Mr. Dickerson was born April 23, 1915 in Blooming Grove, Ohio. He was retired from the Standard Oil Company and also as a fireman from the Mt. Gilead School System.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon & Don Hoovler of Galion; a son and daughter-in-law, David & Cynthia Dickerson of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Ryan Hoovler, Kristin Miller and Denise Dickerson; two step-grandchildren, Tara Kuczykowski and April Russell; a sister, Eloise Rhodebeck of Galion; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest & Bessie Boggs Dickerson; his wife, O. Beulah Terman Dickerson; a sister, Mary Cochran; and two brothers, Robert and Paul Dickerson.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Charles Holmes. Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park. Online guest registry at www.wappner.com.
