
David Eugene Fox, 69, died early Tuesday morning, December 21, 2010 at Samaritan Regional Hospital. He was born March 6, 1941 in Ashland County to the late Wayne R. and Lera Ruth Flickinger Fox. David was previously employed by the State Highway Department for 17 years before purchasing Club 42, of which he was the current owner and operator. He was also the former owner of Hide Away. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. David was a most kindhearted man who was helpful to everyone he met.
He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie 'Marge' and Gaylord Elson of Ashland and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary E. Rogers on December 26, 2007; brother, Robert Fox in April 1999; and a niece, Debbie Fox.
Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Delbert Gribben officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
