
David A. McClellan, 74, of Mansfield died Monday evening February 4, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield following a brief illness. Mr. McClellan was born May 5, 1927 in Mansfield being a life long resident. He retired from White Westinghouse in 1990 and was veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He was a member of VFW post#9943, American Legion Post #16, AmVets post#26, Eagles post#336 and of the Sons of Herman Lodge #14. David was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be forever loved and sadly missed.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Denise McClellan; and Frederick and Annette McClellan all of Mansfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Mike Norris of Ashland; and Lori and Tim Hagar of Mansfield; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Meta and Charles Leuenberger of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; his step-mother, Mildred McClellan of Mansfield; and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Carolena Babli McClellan; his loving wife, Wilma Durant McClellan in November of 1987; and one sister, Ruby Merion.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home Wappner Funeral Directors on Thursday February 7, 2002 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. with military graveside services being held at 3:30 p.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Council Burial Detail. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
