So sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. It was such a shock when we got the call. If there is anything we can do please do not hesitate to call us. We had got to know your Dad when Emily passed. He was such a help to us and our Dad through our grieving process. He was such a very special person.  Dad doesn't feel he can make the trip for the services. But our hearts and prayers will be with you.

Gary, I know we haven't spoke in 17 years, but I often think of you and wonder how you are doing. I came across your fathers obituary yesterday and couldn't help but feel your loss. I am so sorry, you have my deepest sympathy. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. Karen

Dear Wieland children:  It is with great sadness and shock that I read about your father's death.  I knew your dad personally and, in fact, the last time I saw him was at your Aunt Emily's funeral. My parents, Adele and Julius Haip, were very good friends of your grandparents, Christine and Gene Wieland, and our families were always close. I also remember your mother Sandy being a beautiful woman. I believe we probably met all of you during some of the anniversary or birthday celebrations of your grandparents.  My mother, Adele Haip, passed away on October 6 of this year at age 99 and was the last surviving member of the Good Will Group to which your grandparents and my parents belonged for many years.  Being in the grieving process myself, I can fully relate to the sorrow and pain of loss you must be experiencing at this time.  It is my sincere wish and prayer for all of you to find peace and comfort in each other and the good memories you have of your father, aunt and grandparents and to know many remember and care. God bless you.

So sorry to hear of Dave's death.  I graduated from high school with Dave and have happy memories of him.  I pray that his family and friends will find peace as they miss him.

To Dave's family,

I was saddened to read that Dave has passed away.  I lost track of him after I retired and my husband and I moved to Florida 6 years ago. 

Dave, Dave Stackhouse and I worked together at G.M.  We took coffee breaks and had lunch together and shared many "war" stories.  

I am thankful to have known Dave and appreciated the time he took to teach me about the automotive industry.

Dave was especially proud of his 4 sons and his grandchildren.  He loved his wife, Sandy, his parents, sister and brother.

I will always remember Dave as a great guy and friend who not only made a difference in my life but in the life of many others.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Dave's family.

I am sorry to hear of your fathers death.
I had known Dave since attending Woodville Grade School with him.  At the time I lived in South Blvds and remember the good times Ken Newlon and I had riding our bikes out to his Hanley Road Farm and spending the Day.
Later on your Dad and I both worked together and General Motors.
He was just a super guy and I'll miss Him.
