Debi was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Floyd Harris and Carol (Fiedler) Harris. One of five children, she grew up in Detroit and graduated from Lakewood High School. Debi moved to Shiloh, Ohio, where she enjoyed the peace of country living, before settling in Mansfield, Ohio, where she worked as a telephone operator for many years.
Debi found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading books, doing her hair and nails, shopping—especially at Goodwill—and playing Bingo. She was an avid fan of true crime shows and Murder, She Wrote, and she never turned down a Pepsi. An animal lover at heart, Debi adored her dogs, Shadow and Sammy, who meant the world to her.
Debi was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward F. Jeffries, III; her sister, Denise Underwood; and her brother, Mark “Shorty” Harris.
She is survived by her son, Cliff Boggess (Brenda Sikola), proudly known as her “Mama’s boy”; her daughter, Stephanie Agelopoulos (John); her grandchildren, Devin Bowen, Megan Bright (Trey), Natalie Agelopoulos, and Evan Agelopoulos; and her great-grandchildren, Penelope Bowen, Lily Bowen, and Maylee Bright. Debi is also survived by her brothers, Floyd Harris, Jr. and Jimmy Harris, as well as her dear friends, Don and Paulette Brusacorn.
In accordance with Debi’s wishes, there will be no services. The family encourages memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Richland County in Debi’s name.
Debi will be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and the happiness she found in everyday moments.
Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Mansfield is honored to serve the family.
