Deluster Pookie Paige, Jr., 52 of Mansfield died Tuesday afternoon, July 9, 2002 at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Paige was born August 31, 1949 in Mansfield to the late Deluster and Elease Holton Paige, Sr. He was affiliated with the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Deluster liked to fish.
He is survived by his wife, Sendia Eatman Paige; son, Jamal Paige of Mansfield; daughter, Tarasha Eatman; grandchildren, Ronnie Eatman, Azairiah Eatman, Shannon Troche, and Zhonnii Eatman; grandfather, Willie Paige of Louise, Mississippi; a brother, Theodore Cotton; sisters, Joyce Paige and Diana Tyrone Mathews of Mansfield; special friend, Ralph Mack; sister-in-law, Patricia Reed of Mansfield; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to funeral services which will be held on Tuesday July 16, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Sylvester Ginn of the Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ. The Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail will conduct military graveside services at Mansfield Cemetery.
